Stain and Scale Inhibitor
In particularly hard water areas that have a lot of calcium in the tap water there can be a problem with scale build up in spa water. This scale shows itself as a scale build up on surfaces when they dry out, but can also build up on the spa heater.

Stain and Scale Inhibitor can be used in two ways:

When applied to surface scale it softens the scale and enables it to be removed more easily by cleaning. To use, thoroughly soak the scale surface and leave for ten minutes. Wipe off with a clean cloth.

When added to the water Stain and Scale Inhibitor converts calcium into insoluble calcium phosphate which is then filtered out of the water. This reduces the concentration of scale in the water and reduces the likelihood of scale build up on the heater.

To prevent scale or stain deposit use Stain and Scale Inhibitor
Initial Dose: 50ml per 1000 litres (220 gallons)
Weekly Dose: 20ml per 1000 litres (220 gallons)

To Remove Scale that has been deposited use Stain and Scale Inhibitor

Run the spa/hot tub circulation for 24 hours
Drain the spa/hot tub and rinse out before filling.

Filter Cleaner
The filters on spas are normally cartridge filters which need cleaning regularly. In order to remove ingrained dirt the filter is normally soaked in water containing Filter Cleaner which has chemicals to remove grease and to sterilise the filter.

Remove cartridge and other screens from the unit. Flush any soiling from the filter body, cartridge and screens. Soak the filter cartridge and screens overnight in a 2.5% solution of Filter Cleaner. Rinse thoroughly. Reassemble the filter and return to service.
